Host guide

Run great padel nights without the spreadsheet

From your first social to a 32-pair tournament with a Cup and Plate. Each part stands on its own โ€” jump to what you need.

๐Ÿ Set up in two minutes

  1. Sign in, then on Home tap Start hosting (leagues & socials) and give your host a name (e.g. "Net-Work Padel").
  2. Open โš™ Manage โ†’ ๐Ÿ’ณ Payments and add how players pay you โ€” bank details for EFT, or "cash on the day". It shows on every entry and sign-up page.
  3. Want help running things? Add a co-host as an admin from Manage โ†’ Members โ€” they can do everything you can.
  4. Someone who should only run one league (say Rob runs SPL)? Make them a ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ผ League manager on that league's page. They can open nights, make the draw, enter scores, run seasons and mark fees paid for that league โ€” but not billing, the money page, members or other leagues. They must be a member first (invite them, then make them manager).
  5. ๐ŸŸ๏ธ Venue staff (set by the platform admin on a club's page in Explore โ†’ Clubs): someone from a venue such as Blue Island can start socials, leagues, box leagues and tournaments for that venue, under the venue's own host (complimentary Pro) โ€” without billing or members access.
  6. Only admins create one-off tournaments on your host page. To let players set up their own, tick Let players create their own one-off tournaments under Manage โ†’ ๐Ÿ† Who can create tournaments.
  7. Tap ๐Ÿ‘ in the top bar to see the app the way your players do, with the host buttons hidden. Tap Back to host view on the yellow bar to switch back.

๐Ÿ’ก New hosts get every Club feature free for 30 days. After that you stay on Free (one league, up to 24 players) unless you pick a plan under โš™ Manage โ†’ Plan & billing. See pricing.

โœ‰๏ธ Get your players in

  • Join code โ€” your 6-letter code is on Manage. Put it in the WhatsApp group; players enter it on their Home page.
  • โœ‰ Invite a player โ€” by email, or ๐Ÿ”— make an invite link to send yourself.
  • Guests โ€” you don't need everyone signed up. Type a guest name when you add players. Later, when they sign up, use Link guest history to a member so their past results follow them. Use the exact name from past results.

๐Ÿ’ก Players who join through an invite link get their history automatically โ€” it's the smoothest way.

๐ŸŽพ Run a social (Americano / Mexicano)

  1. From your host page, create a New event. Pick Americano (random partners, everyone plays everyone) or Mexicano (each round pairs players by the current table).
  2. Set the courts, points per match (both teams' points add up to this, e.g. 21โ€“11 for 32) and the number of rounds.
  3. Add players โ€” members or guest names. You need at least 4, and a multiple of 4 per court fills every court.
  4. Generate matches. Players see their court under โ— My match.
  5. When a round is in, tap Next round. At the end, Finish & see recap and share the recap card.

๐ŸŒ™ On the night

  • Check-in QR: on the league session, open Check-in QR and show it at the courts. You can see who's arrived before you make the draw.
  • Live scores link: share it in the group. Anyone with it can enter scores, so you don't have to run around with a clipboard.
  • Scores are checked against the format, so nobody can enter 6 games in a "first to 5".
  • Players can chat in the event's group chat โ€” handy for "Court 3 is free".

๐Ÿ“บ Court board for the TV

On any social or tournament, tap ๐Ÿ“บ Court board and open it on a TV, laptop or projector at the venue (or just send the link to the venue's screen).

  • It shows who's on court now, who's up next, the latest results and the table or groups.
  • It updates by itself as scores come in โ€” no need to touch it.
  • A QR code on the board lets players open the draw and enter scores on their phones.

๐Ÿ’ก Press F11 (Windows) or Ctrl โŒ˜ F (Mac) in the browser to make it full screen.

๐Ÿ“… Leagues, seasons and sign-ups

  • A league is a regular social with one leaderboard; a season is a stretch of it (e.g. "2026 ยท Season 1"). End season starts a fresh table; Stop running the league closes it for good. Both ask you to confirm.
  • Who can see it?
    • ๐ŸŒ Public โ€” anyone can see standings and results; it's listed in Explore with a Join button.
    • ๐Ÿ‘ฅ Members โ€” players at your host can see it.
    • ๐Ÿ”’ Private โ€” only players in the league.
  • Sessions: add upcoming nights with a capacity (and a fee if you charge). Players tap Join; extras go on a waiting list and move up automatically. Close sign-ups when you're ready to draw.
  • ๐Ÿ“… Calendar (Home, or the button on your host page) shows every social, tournament and upcoming repeating night for the month, with the courts to book for each one and per day, and how full each night is.
  • ๐Ÿ’ฐ Money on your host page: what's due, received (card, EFT, cash) and still owed each month, who owes what with their references, one-tap Mark paid, and a CSV for your books. It also lists no-shows and late drop-outs for the last 90 days.
  • โฐ Late drop-outs (on each league's upcoming socials): choose the window (e.g. 24 hours) and whether late drop-outs still pay. Players get a warning before they drop out late.
  • On the ๐Ÿ“บ Court board, league socials also show the race for the title for the season (not for private leagues).
  • The league's ๐Ÿ“ˆ Race & records tab shows the top five's points week by week and the season records (highest night, biggest win, longest streak, best pair, most improved). Good for a WhatsApp screenshot.
  • On the Pro plan, your logo and colour (Manage โ†’ Look) show on your league, social, tournament and box league pages, public links and the court board.
  • Your Weekly summary page (on your host page) shows the week at a glance: socials played, top scorers, new faces and what's coming up.

๐Ÿ† Tournaments in fixed pairs

For events where people play with the same partner all day:

  • Round robin โ€” every pair plays every other pair; one table.
  • Knockout โ€” straight bracket. Turn on Plate to give first-round losers a second draw.
  • Groups + knockout โ€” groups first, then the top pairs go into the Cup; you can add a Plate, Bowl and more for the positions below. The knockout draws itself the moment the last group score is in.

Scoring can differ per stage, e.g. groups "first to 5 games" and knockouts "best of 3 sets". Options: points race, first to N games, one full set, best of 3.

๐Ÿ“ Entries by link

  1. When creating the tournament choose How do pairs get in? โ†’ entries by link. Set Max pairs, Entries close and the Entry fee per pair.
  2. Share the entry link. Pairs enter themselves; past the limit they go on the waiting list.
  3. On the tournament page, Accept or Decline entries, tick payments, then Seed by level and Make the draw.

๐Ÿ’ก Tick Only paid pairs go into the draw if you want money in before the draw.

๐Ÿ’ณ Taking payments

  • EFT / cash (always on): each entry or sign-up gets a short reference. When the money arrives, tap Mark paid. You can also mark someone as waived.
  • Card: once card payments are switched on for the platform, players see Pay by card and are marked paid automatically.
  • Each event and session shows who has paid and who still owes, with their reference next to their name.

๐Ÿ“ˆ Levels and fair draws

Every player has a level from 0.5 to 7.0, worked out from every match at your host (beating stronger pairs counts more, margins count in points games). Use it to:

  • Seed tournament pairs so the best don't meet in round one.
  • Players have a separate level for league nights, Americanos, tournaments and friendlies (plus overall). League draws balance on league levels, tournaments seed on tournament levels โ€” falling back to the overall level until someone has 5 games of that kind.
  • Spot sandbaggers and new players who are moving fast.

๐Ÿงน Fixing mistakes

  • Wrong score? Re-enter it. After you finish an event scores lock, so check the last round before you tap Finish.
  • Deleted something? Manage โ†’ ๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ Recently deleted keeps it for 30 days. Tap What's inside to check, then restore.
  • Who changed what? Manage โ†’ Change log.
  • Same person twice (e.g. "Jon" and "Jon G")? Link the guest name to the member, or ask the platform admin to merge them.

๐Ÿ” Repeating nights & reminders

  • On the league page open ๐Ÿ” Repeating nights and set it once, e.g. every Thursday 18:30, 3 courts. Sign-ups open by themselves each week (you choose how many days before) and players get a notification.
  • Everyone who signed up gets a reminder the day before (waiting-list players are told where they are).
  • On the night, โšก Quick draw makes the Americano from whoever checked in, with last week's settings, and balances each court by level. Everyone gets a notification with their court and partner.
  • Share the courts and Share table buttons write the WhatsApp message for you.

๐Ÿ“ฆ Box leagues

Players are split into boxes of 4โ€“5 by level. Each box plays a mini Americano during the round (they arrange their own times and enter scores in the app). When you start the next round, the top player in each box moves up and the bottom one moves down. Find it under ๐Ÿ“ฆ Box leagues on your host page (Club plan).

๐ŸŽจ Your logo, sponsor & public page

Under โš™ Manage โ†’ ๐ŸŽจ Look, sponsor & public page you can add your logo and colour (Pro), a sponsor for the court board and live scores (Club), and switch on a public page at /o/your-name that shows your public leagues, upcoming nights and results โ€” handy for Instagram and Google.

โœ… Event-day checklist

  1. Day before: close sign-ups, check payments.
  2. Arrive: put the Check-in QR up, open the ๐Ÿ“บ Court board on the TV.
  3. Tap โšก Quick draw (or ๐Ÿ›  Choose format & courts) to draw from the people who checked in.
  4. Share the live scores link in the group.
  5. End of night: Finish, share the recap, done.
