Everything you need on the courts
Five minutes to read, and you'll never have to ask where you're playing again.
๐ Signing in
There's no password. Type your email on the sign-in page and we email you a link โ tap it and you're in.
- Open the link on the same phone or computer you asked from.
- No email after a minute? Check spam or promotions, then ask for a new link.
- You stay signed in on that device, so you only do this once.
๐ค Joining your host
Your host (whoever runs your league or socials) will either:
- send you an invite link โ open it and tap to accept. Any games you played before you signed up come with you; or
- give you a 6-letter join code โ enter it on your Home page.
๐ก If you played as a guest before signing up, your old results are linked to you when you use your invite link. If something looks missing, ask your host to link your guest history.
๐ Your profile
Tap your picture (top right) to open your profile, then Edit profile to add your name and a photo, so people recognise you on the courts and leaderboards.
Your profile shows your level, recent matches, partners, achievements and your personal QR code โ handy for hosts adding you on the night.
๐ On the night
- Check in. If there's a QR code at the courts, scan it and tap I'm here.
- Find your court. Once the draw is out, โ My match appears at the top and shows your court, partner and opponents. If there's a TV, the court board shows every court too.
- Play, then enter the score (see below). The next round appears when all the scores are in.
โ๏ธ Entering scores
- Tap a team's score and pick the number. In points games the other team's score fills itself in.
- For games or sets, enter each set. The app won't let you enter a score that can't happen in that format (for example 6 games in a "first to 5").
- Anyone in the match can enter it โ and so can anyone with the live scores link โ so only one of you needs to.
- Made a mistake? Just enter it again. Once the host finishes the event, scores are locked; ask them to fix it.
๐ Leagues and sign-ups
A league is a social that runs regularly with one leaderboard. On the league page you can see the table, past nights and upcoming sessions.
- Tap Join on a session to take a spot. If it's full, tap Join waiting list โ you move up automatically when someone drops out.
- ๐ Calendar on Home shows everything coming up at your hosts, marks the ones you're in, and has Add to my calendar for your phone's calendar. Better still, tap ๐ฒ Put this in my phone's calendar once: every night you sign up for appears in your iPhone, Google or Outlook calendar by itself, with a reminder 2 hours before.
- Your next activity cards on Home show who's coming, and let you pay or tap Can't make it without opening the league. Every Monday you get a short "your week" note with your results, level change and next night.
- Can't make it? Tap Can't make it so someone else can play.
- Public leagues have a Join button; private ones are invite-only.
๐ Entering a tournament
Tournaments are played in fixed pairs: round robin, knockout, or groups followed by a knockout (often with a Cup for the top pairs and a Plate for the rest).
- Open the entry link your host shares and sign in.
- Type your partner's name. Add their email too if they're on the app, so the entry shows up for them as well.
- You'll see whether you're in, waiting for the host, or on the waiting list (with your position).
- Can't play any more? Use Withdraw on the same page so the next pair gets your spot.
Pairs are usually seeded by level, so the strongest pairs don't meet early.
๐ณ Paying
- Card (if your host has it on): tap Pay by card and you're marked paid straight away.
- EFT or cash: use the bank details shown and your reference (six letters and numbers, like 7K3QX2). The host ticks you off when it arrives.
- Some events only put paid pairs into the draw โ it says so on the entry page.
๐ How your level works
Your level runs from 0.5 to 7.0 and starts at 3.0. It's worked out from every match you play:
- Your team's strength is the average of you and your partner.
- Beat a stronger team and you go up more; lose to a weaker team and you drop more.
- In points games the margin counts: winning 21โ5 says more than 21โ19.
- New players move faster until about 30 matches, then it settles.
Separate levels for each kind of play. Besides your overall level you get one for ๐ league nights, ๐ Americanos (one-off socials), ๐ tournaments (fixed pairs and box leagues) and ๐ค friendlies. They're on your profile โ tap one to see your stats for just that kind of play. Draws use the matching level once you've played 5 games of that kind.
Your profile has a level graph with a point for every match โ wins step up, losses step down; tap a point to see the match. Each match shows the change, like โฒ +0.04. Levels are shared with the players at your host, so a fair draw is easy.
๐ Stats and matches in common
- Open any player and tap More stats for form, best partners, toughest opponents and more.
- Against the odds compares the wins you got with the wins your level predicted. Plus means you're punching above your weight.
- Strength of opposition splits your record against stronger, evenly matched and weaker pairs. Partner chemistry shows who you win more with than your levels predict.
- Personal records: your best night, most wins in a night, best finish, longest win streak and how many socials in a row you've played.
- โ๏ธ Compare puts you next to any other player: levels, win %, and your record together and against each other.
- On a league, the ๐ Race & records tab shows the points race for the title, your position week by week and the season's records.
- Matches in common shows every game you've played with or against someone โ and lets you keep private notes that only you can see ("lob his backhand").
- Message players from their profile, or chat in your event's group chat.
๐ Find a fourth
Short a player? Go to Explore โ ๐ Find a fourth, post the time, place and level range, and players at that level get a notification. Want a game? Tap ๐ Join on any game there. When all four are in, everyone is told.
๐ Your season wrap
On your league page, ๐ Season wrap shows the awards (champion, most improved, dream team, upset of the seasonโฆ) and your own season: position, win rate, level change, best partner and best win โ with a button to share it.
๐ฑ Put it on your phone
It works like an app without the app store:
- iPhone: open the site in Safari โ Share โ Add to Home Screen.
- Android: open it in Chrome โ โฎ menu โ Add to Home screen / Install app.
โ Questions
Who can see my results? Players at your host, and anyone with a live scores link for that event. Private leagues stay private.
My name is on there twice. Ask your host โ they can merge duplicates in one click.
How do I delete my account? Open your profile and tap Remove my account at the bottom.
